Flours

Flour, finely ground cereal grains or other starchy portions of plants, used in various food products and as a basic ingredient of baked goods. Flour made from wheat grains is the most satisfactory type for baked products that require spongy structure.

MAIZE FLOUR

Corn flour is a fine powder made by grinding dried corn kernels (maize). Corn flour is naturally gluten-free, which means baked goods featuring corn flour won’t produce the same rise as those made with wheat flour, but they will be tender and full of corn flavor.

CASSAVA FLOUR

Cassava flour is a gluten-free flour made from the tuber cassava, which is native to South America and grown in tropical and sub-tropical regions ( 2 ). Despite cassava’s nutty flavor, its flour has a light or neutral taste and a fine or smooth texture.

WHEAT FLOUR

Wheat flour is a powder made from grinding wheat, making is usable for human consumption. There are different types of wheat flour, distinguished by the amount of gluten they contain, their color, the parts of the grain used, and the type of wheat.

SOYA BEAN FLOUR

Split moong beans or green moong dal is green gram that has been split but not skinned. Since the husk is not removed completely, the green colour is retained. The splitting is done in a mill. Green moong dal a traditional ingredient in Indian cooking, often used in curries.

MILLET FLOUR (BAJRA)

Millet Flour is stone ground and whole grain. It has a subtle flavor, lots of vitamins and minerals, and adds a lovely creamy color to baked goods. This is a popular flour for gluten free baking.

SORGHUM FLOUR

Sorghum flour is a gluten-free flour with a mild, sweet flavor and smooth texture. It’s commonly used to make gluten free cakes, breads and other baked goods, sometimes on its own but more often combined with other gluten-free flours.

RICE FLOUR

Rice flour is finely milled rice used principally in gluten-free baking or as a dusting powder in commercial scale baking operations. Starch is the most important fraction of this flour and is detrimental to its functionality in food systems such as baking, noodles, gravies, crackers and many others.

COCONUT POWDER

Coconut powder offers the flavor of a sweet, fresh coconut and is used in culinary dishes of all sorts. Coconut powder is packed with nutrition, gluten-free, low-carb and keto-friendly. Plus, since it is dehydrated, there’s no refrigeration required and it has a long shelf life.
